It has been over a year now after Axiotron announced the ModBook tablet computer solution. ModBook is essentially a MacBook that Axiotron converts into a Tablet PC. They were to unveil the ‘first and only Mac tablet computer solution’ on January 9th at Macworld Conference & Expo 2007, San Francisco. But, whole one year has passed by and we’re still waiting for its launch. Anyway, the latest news around the hot tub is that the shipping of custom configured Modbook solution will commence on or before January 11th, 2008. Ideal for mobile users and business professionals, the ModBook features up to 4.0 GB memory, up to 570 GB internal hard drive capacity, WACOM Penabled Digitizer, full touch-screen capabilities, and built-in WAAS enabled GPS.
